NHS Property Services announce new facilities management platform coming soon

As part of the improvements they are making to their FM services, NHS Property Services have announced that they will soon be launching, CORE, their new facilities management platform.

CORE aims to provide a more reliable and efficient facilities management service by logging, planning, and monitoring facilities management activities their customers receive, including reactive and planned, through one system. This will transform the way services are delivered.

The benefits for their customers will be:

Greater first time success as engineers will be better informed so you can be confident the right person with the right equipment will turn up.
Increased levels of building compliance and transparency of reporting.
More accurate monitoring of assets so it’s known when to update or replace an asset.
Better communication with a new, easy ‘request an update’ form and email notifications (coming end of June).
More accurate expected completion times since they will be automating and monitoring the process and gathering better data.
Real-time reporting which will enable development of SLAs and KPIs.

To realise the benefits of CORE, the MiCad customer portal will be switched off on 29 May 2019 and replacing it with a new online form. This will go live on the same day at www.property.nhs/CORE.

All non-urgent FM requests and faults should be submitted online. From the end of June, customers will receive an email notification when they log a job, which will include the job number and expected completion time, and another email when the engineer has completed the work.

The online form can also be used to request an update on a job and compliance certification, by filling out all the necessary details.

For emergency or urgent FM service issues, customers should continue to call their regional NHS Property Services FM Helpdesk which is available 24/7, 365 days of the year.

NHS Property Services are looking forward to the improvements CORE will bring to their FM services in the immediate release and in the near future as they continually make enhancements, with the ambition to provide SLAs and KPI reporting, to ultimately, enhance their customers’ property and ability to care for patients.

NHS Property Services will have a representative at NHS Property 2019 conference in London on Wednesday 27th November, full details can be viewed on the event website.
